Gradually But Surely, I Am Falling OUT of Love with Belarus, AND with Babruysk
These people have a GORGEOUS air, and they take it and pollute it SO EXTENSIVELY, that ut is literally impossible now, to step out of this hotel, or to open a window. As almost ALL Belarusian men, it seems, are brainless obsessive-compulsive smokers. Not to mention all those absolutely horrid moniyòth-šéyrùth¹ they sadly have here, which engines probably date back to stalin's time, and which fart inconceicable amounts of poisonous smoke into Babruysk's air each and every millisecond.
I do not know what has caused this, what has changed! Also when I had first to Babruysk, back on August 2023, during my last 3 days here, those moniyòth-šéyrùth¹ had a mortifying amount of air pollution, however, this had only been felt all across town only on my very last day here then, due to the heatwave. By the end of last August, was the very first time that I have ever encountered a phenomenon of an extremely strong, cancer-causing cigarette smoke covering an entire fucking town, it seems (well, at least from "Turist" to the Fountain park and Lenin Square at the city Center, anyway = over a kilometer). But also then: it was a heatwave. But, by now - it does no longer matter, which weather it happens to be: the entire region, stinks like some fucking ashtray blat, and going for a walk, or even opening a window, is completely out of the question.
Pairing THAT, with THIS fucking "holiday", and I am no longer so saddened by the thought, that a week from now, I'll already be far away from here.
As perhaps it's for the Best, that my now DEAD Dream, of living permanently in Babruysk, never came to pass.
¹ - Vans used as bus-substitute, which are as common here, as they were in israel 20 years ago.
