And My Comment:
I absolutely agree with You Brett!!
Truly, I view that current psychotic wave of safetyism in north america with an extreme shock and alarm - most obviously, all mentioned cops and "child care services" workers (as those free-loaders "democrats" are called) should not only be summarily booted OUT of their jobs, but also be reeducated in What a Child Is and What a Teen Is. Really, what is that??? Actively ARRESTING Parents - for THAT??? It's THE most shocking thing I have heard about for years and years!!
When I had been a child, back in israel on the mid-1980's (Gods I'm old!!🙃), as an eight or nine year old kid I would normally walk alone to and from school, Friends' houses etc., a 15, 20, 30 minutes' walk through town, as a daily matter of course, sometimes would stop on the way, to buy myself a soft drink or a waffle... and at 11, I would be left Home pretty often to look after my little Brother, for one or two weekday evenings of the week, when our Mom was out at her choir, and, on school-holidays, would sometimes take my bike and ride alone for kilometers, across town or out of town... and there was nothing "special", or "out of the ordinary" in any of this - all of us grew up like this, and NEVER had ANY of us been "abducted" by anyone...😂 truly, all the "crime!!!!" scare, is the result of some overly-hysterical old fake-blonde bimbos in hollywood and its trashy mass-media (regardless of whether the said bullshit outlet is being identified with this side or that - truly, the "daily mail" and the "new-york times" are PRECISELY the same crap. Just like absolutely all politicians everywhere are).
So, regardless of the reason Why said children were sitting there on their own - a 10-year-old kid is perfectly capable of caring for their little siblings for a few hours. This is the way humanity has always functioned, and only a madman would ever consider that to be anything like "neglect", let alone "abandon". 🙂
