Do Not Expect A Future Life Partner to "Perfectly Match" All Your Expectations

I completely agree with one point in particular:

WE SHOULD NEVER LOCK OURSELF INTO A LIST OF HOW WE EXPECT "AN IDEAL PARTNER" TO BE LIKE, SO MUCH THAT WE BLIND OURSELVES TO THE PEOPLE WE MEET, WHO MIGHT NOT BE 100% (SINCE THERE IS NO 100% IN LIFE!!), BUT THEY MAY BE GREAT. DO NOT "BE FAITHFUL" TO SOME SORT OF AN IMAGINARY CHARACTER, WHO CAN ONLY LIVE INSIDE YOUR OWN HEAD. OPEN YOUR EYES TO SEE WHO IS, SOMETIMES, RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!!!!

Now, after saying this - an interesting experience I had, a little more than five years ago:

As a result of the "genious dating algorithms" of "ok shmupid" (we all know that infamously useless, and utterly pointless website...), I went on an incredibly promising first date. According to absolutely ALL data (looks, beliefs, interests, you name it!!) we both were each other's ideal partner. It was practically certain!!

And then we met.

ZERO chemistry. We just sat there for an hour, could not find anything to talk about, and just wanted to end it soonest.

That is because such algorithms may be Great for determinjng compatibility between COMPUTERS.

NOT between people.😃
