The god of these books, both the ones that are in the actual bible (the Hebrew jewish one) and the ones that are at the "new testament", is merely a fictional character, created by the very human writer who had made him up. Just the same as Zeus, Indra, Bà'al or Amaterasu Omikami, the biblical god is a human guy, with human attributes and flaws, whose principles are those of his human creator, and merely reflects that human creator's goals, beliefs, and general human societal surroundings.

In an ancient society where women are nothing but property (just like modern-day india, pakistan - or too many people in the political party which has recently won your elections...), the rule is that "you broke it = you buy it". Her own feelings, emotions and wishes do not play any kind of role here. She is merely her Father's property, to be sold to a husband at due time.

All empires slaughter those who resist them, and enslave anyone who submits to them... from the Assyrians, through the Romans, the Mongolians and the british, till current-day u.s.a. Also the nazis known as zionists believe in that atrocious, sickest form of "morality" - not only the religious jews, but all zionists. And just look at the u.s. in VietNam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya...

And, by the way, speaking about "romans" - one of the only passages in that "new testament" which I, being originally a non-religious jew and currently a Citrian, do actually know, is "romans 13" = which is THE embodiment of fascism, which not only fully contradicts pretty much everything christianity claims regarding that jesus person, but also is the utter embodiment of pure evil.
