The 10 Absolutely Very BEST TV Episodes of All Time
There were lots and lots of Great Episodes, of many Great TV Series over the past 64 years, from the embark of the original "Twilight Zone" back on 1959 to our modern era; however, the following list represents THE Greatest Moments, when a TV Series surpassed itself to become a Real Cultural Treasure of Human Civilization for generations to come.
I have tried to list these Episodes at a chronological order, not only because I am a freak of dates (well, I am 😉), but also in order to avoid grading them, at least for the moment.
So, here goes:
1 - "I Sing The Body Electric" - "The Twilight Zone", Season 3, Episode 35 - Air Date May 18th, 1962; written by Ray Bradbury, directed by James Sheldon and William F. Claxton.
A Beautiful and Heart-Warming Science Fiction Story, which had seemed a completely wild Fantasy at the time, but may be a Beautiful reality within the scope of less than a decade from today.
2 - "The Inner Light" - "Star Trek: The Next Generation", Season 5, Episode 25 - Air Date June 1st, 1992; written by Morgan Gendel, directed by Peter Lauritson.
A Beautiful Story, about a marvelous and tragically lost civilization and its last begging to be remembered.
3 - "The Bitter Sweet" - "Xena the Warrior Princess", Season 3, Episode 12 - Air Date February 2nd, 1998; written by Steven L. Sears and Chris Manheim, directed by Oley Sassone.
Of the enchanting power of Forgiveness and Love, and choosing the Light.
4 - "Under the Pale Moonlight" - "Star Trek: Deep Space 9", Season 6, Episode 19 - Air Date April 13th, 1998; written by Peter Allan Fields, directed by Victor Lobl.
In order to desperately try and save yourself and everybody else you care about, what will you be willing to sacrifice - and which personal ethical principles will you be agreeing to break and betray?
5 - "Roads Taken" - "Sliders", Season 4, Episode 21 - Air Date April 16th, 1999; written by Bill Dial, directed by Jerry O'Connell.
To live an Entire Peaceful Life together, safe inside a bubble Universe of their own.❤️
6 - "Blink of an Eye" - "Star Trek: Voyager", Season 6, Episode 12 - Air Date January 19th, 2000; Story by Michael Taylor, Teleplay by Scott Miller and Joe Menosky, directed by Gabrielle Beaumont.
To witness the entire unfolding Story of a glorious civilization, from its Stone- to Space-Age.
7 - "The Dark Backward" - "Andromeda", Season 3, Episode 12 - Air Date February 3rd, 2003; written by Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller, directed by Michael Robison.
Walking through different parallel realities, the sweetest Angel is trying to find a way to save all her Friends.❤️
8 - "It's a Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad World" - "Charmed", Season 6, Episodes 22&23 - Air Dates May 16th & 23rd, 2004; written by Jeannine Renshaw, Curtis Kheel and Henry Alonso Myers, directed by John Pare and the MARVELOUS James L. Conway❤️❤️.
As TOO GOOD = PURE EVIL.
9 - "From Unknown Graves" - "The Orville", Season 3, Episode 7 - Air Date July 14th, 2022; written by the genius Seth MacFarlane and David A. Goodman, directed by the genius Seth MacFarlane.
As even the most horrible criminals, were once victims themselves.
10 - "Subspace Rhapsody" - "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds", Season 2, Episode 9 - Air Date: August 3rd, 2023; written by Bill Wolkoff and Dana Horgan, directed by Dermott Downs.
